Data Analyst Intern

We are seeking a business-oriented, data-driven intern to join our high-performing Institutional Partnerships team, which stewards academic partnerships and oversees the vast student and faculty programming at Argonne National Laboratory. Under the guidance of the Business Manager, the intern will use their experience in data analysis and modeling to assist with the development of executive-level dashboards, metrics, and trending reports. This position will be hybrid, and an on-site presence will be required 2 days each week.

Responsibilities include

• Assist with the collection and consolidation of student and faculty programming data.
• Develop metrics and data visualization in PowerBI.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Open to both Graduate and Undergraduates (Must be a Junior or Senior if an undergraduate)
  • Must be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited institution
  • Must be 18 years or older at the time the appointment begins.
  • Must possess a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or Legal Permanent Resident at the time of application.
  • If accepting an offer, then you must pass a screening drug test
  • Preferred Majors: Business Administration, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics
  • Ability to be highly motivated and self-starting on individual work assignments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel) required.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools preferred.
  • Aptitude for data collection and analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

The expected hiring range for this position is $22.51-$29.27.
