Data Analyst II – Bank Mendes Gans

Introduction
Bank Mendes Gans (BMG) exclusively engages in cash pooling and netting for multinationals. BMG allows corporate treasurers to maximize liquidity and gain control of all cash flows. We operate a bank-independent model and we handle most of the world’s convertible currencies. Our clients are supported with a high level of professionalism and superior client service. BMG is globally recognized as a specialized bank for liquidity and cash management services and part of ING Wholesale Banking – the Transaction Services domain. In 2024, BMG legally merged with ING and kept its own branding and name.

Role & Responsibilities
We are looking for a Data specialist to play a key role across all BMG domains, with particular focus on the Sales domain. Data, AI, and decision‑making based on improved data dashboards are key priorities within BMG. Your expertise will contribute to making the most of our data and provide support & advice. As analyst, you:

  • will collect, analyze, report on and generate insights from data, to provide business users with robust evidence to support decisions. You use a variety of traditional and novel methods to provide critical data-driven insights.
  • make recommendations to improve data and analytics systems at BMG and Sales specifically, contributing to the continuous improvement and refinement of data and our client strategy
  • will be linking Salesforce data into a BMG dashboard for improved pipeline management: prospect lead times, success rates, bottlenecks in BMG implementations, opportunities. You quickly determine the most critical data and focus analysis there.
  • converting existing Excel models within Sales into smart, sustainable data‑driven solutions. Performing analyses and controls that directly improve processes and insights for the Sales organization (Value Reporter, Vantage)
  • Contributing to Account Plans for deep‑sell opportunities with existing clients
  • take on new data and dashboarding opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
  • create new and better ways for the organization to be successful. You make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
  • successfully leverage the latest technologies to increase performance. Quickly embrace and master new technological advances adopted by BMG and ING
  • enhance KPI dashboards for BMG MT & their domains and People dashboards to help managers gain insights and support decision‑making

Your Profile

  • WO/master’s degree in data science/data analytics or similar
  • Approximately 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong experience with data analytics, AI, dashboarding
  • Affinity with Sales & sales processes, preferably within ING
  • Experience in the financial sector (banking or Big 4) or ING is a plus
  • Available for 40 hours per week and comfortable with hybrid working (50/50)
