JOB TITLE: Data Analyst

SALARY: £67,023 - £74,470

LOCATION(S): Bristol

HOURS: Full-time – 35 hours per week

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Bristol office.

This opportunity will sit within the Customer Data Services Lab. Data is the Crown Jewels of the bank, key to the Group’s strategy and at the centre of the Group’s investment programme.

We're shaping the Group’s ambition by enabling the bank to gain value from data by providing safe and efficient Group wide data capabilities and services.

Who are the Customer Data Lab?

The Customer Data Lab supports the foundation of the Bank by providing trusted customer data to operate the LBG business and serve customers. Passion lies in crafting sensible solutions to enable the group to transform the customer and colleague experience.

What you’ll do 

  • Developing high quality analysis and solutions, ingesting data from multiple different sources to build large and potentially complex data quality applications.

  • Responding to high priority incidents, regulatory & Group Exec Complaints, identifying root cause, identifying how many customers impacted as well as recommended solutions.

  • Providing critical 'customer data expertise' to help shape the approach to solving the problem and contributing new/exciting datasets into problem solving solutions.

  • Building Data Quality Dashboards and visualising through Power BI.

What you’ll need

  • Proven data analytical experience

  • Proficiency in SQL, Public Cloud Computing

  • Good problem solving, analytical and design & communication skills

  • Desire to lean and share learnings

It would be great if you also had

  • Docker, Kubernetes, Webshere Liberty (or equivalent)

  • DevOps principles and toolsets

  • Automation – Urbancode, Jenkins or equivalent

  • Scrum working principles/How to plan out tasks in detail

  • Experience with coding in Python or competence and desire to learn Python

  • Desire or experience of writing SQL scripts in Google Platform
