Data Analyst Business Lending with a passion for sustainability

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on this world? Do you have a fascination for our planet, the people who live on it, and also for data and creating insights? And do you want to make a difference by influencing the world of finance to become more sustainable? Then you are the perfect new colleague we are looking for!

Your role

You will make the difference in Business Lending!

At ING, we want to finance the transition of our customers towards a more sustainable future. As a Data Analyst at the Tribe Business Lending, you will play a key role in shaping and executing our sustainability ambitions through data.

Your responsibilities will span the entire innovation lifecycle:
- Discovery: Assess the impact of innovations and new data sources across sectors.
- Design: Ensure high data quality, efficiency, and compliance in our solutions.
- Implementation: Build and optimize queries, dashboards, and reporting flows to support operational steering and regulatory reporting.

You will work on complex data challenges that demand analytical strength and creativity. ESG data is continuously growing and evolving, and you will be at the forefront of shaping how we manage and leverage it. The focus is on automating data sourcing, delivery, and reporting to meet regulatory requirements, commercial objectives, and risk monitoring needs.

Collaboration is key: you will align with customer journey experts, sustainability consultants, second-line parties, and data management teams to deliver impactful solutions.

Your work environment

You will be part of the Tribe Business Lending Netherlands, serving a wide range of business lending customers. You will work in an Agile environment within a multidisciplinary team of specialists in process management, IT, data analytics, and risk. Close collaboration with colleagues from Sales, Pricing, Operations, Credit Risk, and Finance is part of your daily work.

This is you!

You are proactive, multi-skilled, and communicative. You combine analytical strength with curiosity and a hands-on mentality. You enjoy working in an international team and thrive on challenges. You have a passion for sustainability and want to make a real difference.

What we expect from you:

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or similar; or 3–5 years of relevant experience in data reporting & analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills: curious, precise, and solution-oriented.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, and dashboarding tools such as Power BI (SAS, Cognos are a plus).
  • Ability to influence and convince stakeholders based on data-driven insights.
  • Affinity or experience with Business Lending and Credit Risk Management (no previous experience required, but is a plus).
  • Excellent command of English (Dutch is a plus).

What do you get from us?

  • 36 or 40-hour working week.
  • Location: Amsterdam (with flexibility to work from home).
  • Salary scale 9–11.
  • Investment in personal development and growth.
  • A challenging role with impact and fun.
