Your role at Baxter

As a Data Analyst, Audits & Controls, supporting Baxter’s Respiratory Health business, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring data integrity, process compliance, and operational effectiveness across revenue cycle operations and supporting systems. You’ll serve as a business process and systems expert, using analytics, audits, and control mechanisms to identify risk, strengthen processes, and support data‑driven decision making.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into data, building structure around complex processes, and partnering closely with both business and technical teams. You’ll work across TIMS, ERP systems, SQL environments, and enterprise reporting tools to design monitoring frameworks, develop analytics, and ensure the reliability of the data that drives operational performance.

This position offers the opportunity to influence how Respiratory Health evolves its audit, control, and analytics capabilities—especially as the business continues to grow and invest in new technologies.

This position follows a hybrid schedule and is based out of our St. Paul, MN office.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and maintain audit, exception, and control reports to monitor core business processes and system integrity.

  • Perform data profiling and analysis to identify anomalies, trends, and control gaps.

  • Document audit logic, control definitions, and findings to support transparency and remediation.

  • Define and maintain business analytics and KPIs used to monitor operational performance and compliance.

  • Design and develop standard and ad‑hoc reports and dashboards for operational and leadership decision making.

  • Communicate analytical findings and risk insights with clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Support Respiratory Health applications (including TIMS and ERP interfaces) as a business process and system SME.

  • Participate in system testing, data validation, and project implementation activities.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics, business management, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2-5+ years of hands‑on experience with SQL, Power BI, and Cognos BI, with the ability to build and maintain complex queries and reporting solutions preferred.

  • Understanding of data architecture, data quality concepts, and reporting best practices, with the ability to apply them in real operational environments.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate analytical findings and control insights into clear, actionable guidance for business partners.

  • Experience working with tools such as TIMS, SQL Server Management Studio, Power Automate, Informatica, Python, ALM, or ERP systems like JDE—or the ability and curiosity to learn them quickly.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to identify anomalies, assess risk, and turn findings into meaningful recommendations.

  • Comfort collaborating with cross‑functional teams and acting as a liaison between business users and technical partners to clarify needs and deliver reliable solutions.

  • Preferred: Experience in revenue cycle, financial or operational reporting, internal controls, compliance monitoring, or operational risk analysis.
