DATA ANALYST ASSOCIATE

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT:
As a Data Analyst Associate for the Duplicate Identity Resolution Processing Team (DIRP-II), you will contribute to a fast-paced team responsible for monitoring and maintaining Data Quality at the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) with large Oracle production databases containing military identification information used for healthcare benefits. Work includes responding to urgent data quality issues, analyzing data to determine duplication, and proactive analysis to discover and research previously unknown problem areas. Role has potential advancement for high-achieving individuals.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS / DAILY ACTIVITIES:
Acquire in-depth understanding of the variety of data stores, data sources, applications, and tiers that make up the DMDC architecture to facilitate effective data analysis and problem solving
Acquire in-depth understanding of internal applications to investigate and resolve identity duplicates
Use SQL and PL/SQL scripts to find, investigate, and map out strategies to correct data quality issues
Adhere to strict data security protocols and regulations to safeguard sensitive information (e.g., Personally Identifiable Information (PII)) and maintain data confidentiality
Generate recurring and ad-hoc reports to provide data trend analysis and status updates on key data metrics
Contribute to shared documentation and identify areas for improvement
Perform quarterly user acceptance testing of team owned applications
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:

Citizenship: US Citizenship
Security Clearance level: Ability to obtain DMDC Position of Trust
Education: BA/BS in computer science, information systems, or equivalent related field
Years of Experience: 1+ year of experience in data analysis or a related role
Technical skills:
Experience with Relational Database concepts
Experience using Microsoft Office 365 products, with an emphasis on Excel
Demonstrate the ability to read, write, and execute basic SQL queries
Demonstrate an understanding of procedural programming concepts
Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Location: Position is 100% remote
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience working with large and complex databases/datasets
Previous Department of Defense (DoD) or Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) experience

The likely salary range for this position is $59,758 - $80,850. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
