JOB TITLE: UTILITY RELIEF 2nd Floor

WORK HOURS: 2ND SHIFT 1430-2230
WORK WEEK: MON-FRI, BUT MAY VARY
Description:
- Responsible for operating & monitoring the processing equipment, make liquid emulsifier, make lactic acid slurry, and provide break relief for Blender & Cooker Operators
- Days and shift times vary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate relief for lines/area.
- Make liquid emulsifier & Lactic acid slurry for 2nd floor
- Bring supplies to 2nd floor
- Take out 2nd floor trash.
- Maintain, label, & remove Scrap & HOV barrels from 2nd floor.
- Bring up HOV to be thrown at the cooker.
- Completing CIP on blender & cooker ingredient tanks and lines.
- Assure compliance with all company rules and policies, including safety rules and department safety goals.
- Maintains Kraft quality standards by ensuring the checking of quality (seals, code date, labels, packaging of product, weights, odor, color, temperature of product, etc.)
- Responsible for ensuring that all quality testing is completed at specified intervals for line/ area.
- Ensures that housekeeping and Kraft quality standards are maintained in the work area and GMP’s are followed.
- Complete all necessary reports accurately and on a timely basis, making sure all documentation is correct.
- Monitor all operations of the process on a continued basis to maximize quality, service, and production while minimizing downtime.
- Ability to learn and demonstrate proficiency in MES applications and use available production systems to obtain KPI data online performance.
- Understands and accepts total quality culture and is supportive of plant and departmental team goals and vision.
- Trains new or inexperienced associates.
- Maintains proper line speeds.
- Performs sanitation duties when required.
- Actively participates as a team member.
- Possess the knowledge for mechanical functions for line/ area, to be able to communicate with maintenance on mechanical issues/ projects that pertain to line/ area.
- Perform and assure compliance with all aspects of the sanitation functions of the process.
- Initiate continuous improvement idea generation within assigned area.
- Able to communicate shift to shift daily to share information.
- Acts in a manner to foster a good working environment.
- Must maintain processing equipment by utilizing the KHMS system and settings
- Performs variety of maintenance type tasks such as change-overs, set-ups, pit stops, minor maintenance and adjustments, lubrication, etc.
- Will be required to be involved in improvement opportunities (KHMS) teams.
- Performs other duties as directed by Team Leader.
- Assist with R&D Trials as needed.
- Communicate closely with Filling & Cooking.
- Perform & document all Period Cleaning items for Filling Equipment as required.
- Coordinates the job duties or changes of duty during shift operations.
- Responsible for correct decisions and notifying the proper personnel when there are problems.
- Train new or inexperienced associates.
- Perform recordkeeping as required on manual, computer, and other systems. Includes OSCAR Boards & RAIL items
- Accountable for the Safety, Health and Environmental systems and operational standards to ensure compliance as it is outlined in our policies/procedures and processes.
- Understand and apply KHMS (Kraft Heinz Management System) practices such as 5S, centerline management, shift hand-offs, operational standard ownership/support, problem solving, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
·Knowledge: Basic math, reading and communication, computer skills
·Working Environment: Primarily indoors, with heating and cooling regulated in a general production environment.
Qualifications:
- Able to acquire a fork truck and hand jack license
Physical Requirements:
- Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead
- Lifts, carries, pushes, pulls, and moves up to 100 pounds
- Holds and grips objects; must possess manual dexterity necessary to disassemble and reassemble equipment
