We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious CDL Class A Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and pickup of chemicals and compressed gases to customer and vendor sites. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to all DOT regulations, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Transport and Delivery: Safely drive a tractor-trailer to transport hazardous materials (chemicals and compressed gases) to various regional customer and vendor sites.

  • Loading and Unloading: Physically load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as a forklift, manual or electrical jack, or a cylinder cart.

  • Safety and Compliance:

  • Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, completing all required documentation.

  • Follow all DOT rules and regulations (CFR 49) for the safe transport of hazardous materials.

  • Maneuver the vehicle safely through city, suburban, and highway roads, and on-site at customer locations, following all posted driving restrictions.

  • Implement proper safety procedures, including coning pinch points, applying chocks, and securing the area during backing, loading, and unloading.

  • Documentation: Accurately complete all required paperwork, including daily trip sheets, ELD logs, vehicle inspection reports, inbound product reports, and Bills of Lading (BOL).

  • Customer Interaction: Interface directly with internal and external customers in a professional manner.

  • Emergency Response: Understand and follow proper spill and emergency cleanup procedures.

  • Team Support: Support company-wide safety, efficiency, and waste reduction programs.

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A commercial driver's license with Hazmat and Tank erendorsements.

  • Minimum 25 years of age.

  • Driver's license must be issued in your state of domicile and have a clean driving record.

  • Ability to crank a trailer landing gear handle, pull a fifth wheel lock handle, and safely climb in and out of the cab.

  • Ability to strap and ratchet cylinders, roll a cylinder a distance of 5 feet, and transport two cylinders at a time with a cart.

  • Strong initiative and self-motivation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and multitask effectively.

  • Strong dedication to quality and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in chemical or compressed gas transportation
