Position Overview

The Cyber Security Intern will assist the organization’s security team in protecting digital assets, systems, and data. This role provides exposure to various areas of cybersecurity including threat monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and security awareness. The intern will gain hands-on experience with security tools, policies, and procedures while supporting ongoing security operations and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts from various tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, firewalls).

  • Support vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking across systems and applications.

  • Help in the investigation of potential security incidents and documentation of findings.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of security documentation, such as policies, procedures, and playbooks.

  • Participate in security awareness and training initiatives for employees.

  • Conduct basic research on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.

  • Assist in reviewing system configurations and ensuring compliance with security best practices.

  • Support audits, assessments, and reporting as required by internal or regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment and maintenance of systems.

  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by the security team.
