As a member of the Cybersecurity team, we are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Cyber Security Intern to join our Information Security team. This role is ideal for students or early career individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity and eager to gain hands on experience. The intern will support day to day security operations across multiple domains, working closely with experienced security professionals.

Key Responsibilities 

Identity & Access Management (IAM) 

  • Assist with processing user access requests and onboarding/offboarding activities. 

  • Support regular access reviews to ensure proper access controls are in place. 

  • Learn and help troubleshoot basic identity and authentication-related issues. 

 

Security Operations 

  • Support monitoring of security alerts and events through tools such as SIEM dashboards. 

  • Help perform initial triage of incidents under supervision. 

  • Document findings and escalate potential security issues as needed. 

 

Network Security 

  • Assist in reviewing firewall and network security alerts. 

  • Observe and support basic monitoring of network traffic for unusual activities. 

  • Learn core concepts of network defense and security controls. 

 

Threat Intelligence 

  • Help gather and organize information on emerging threats. 

  • Support analysis of indicators such as suspicious IP addresses or links. 

  • Assist in updating internal reports and threat intelligence summaries. 

 

Data Protection 

  • Support review of data loss prevention (DLP) alerts and reports. 

  • Learn how sensitive data is stored, monitored, and safeguarded. 

  • Assist with awareness activities related to data handling best practices. 

 

 

Vulnerability Management 

  • Assist in reviewing vulnerability scan results and tracking remediation progress. 

  • Learn how vulnerabilities are identified and addressed within systems. 

  • Help validate fixes and maintain relevant documentation. 

 

Security Awareness & Training 

  • Support internal cybersecurity awareness campaigns and activities. 

  • Assist in preparing training materials, communications, and participation reports. 

  • Help drive employee engagement and reinforce good security habits. 

 

Application Security / DevSecOps 

  • Learn basic concepts of secure software development. 

  • Assist in reviewing automated scan results from code or dependency scanning tools. 

  • Observe how security checks are integrated into development pipelines.

What We Are Looking For 

Experience and Qualifications 

  • Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in information security, Computer Science, IT or related field 

  • Strong interest in cyber security and desire to learn new concepts. 

  • Good analytical, communication and teamwork skills. 

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
