Wilhelmsen Global Business Services (GBS) is looking for a Cyber Security Architect
Location: Lysaker, Szczecin, Kuala Lumpur | Type: Full-time, Hybrid
GBS is looking for a Cyber Security Architect to help shape and execute our enterprise security strategy.
In this role, you will be a key contributor to GBS’s security architecture, ensuring that governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) principles are embedded across applications, platforms, infrastructure, and services delivered to Wilhelmsen Business Units. You will work closely with both business and technical teams to ensure security is built in by design, aligned with regulatory requirements, and continuously improved to address evolving cyber threats.
What you will work on:
Defining, maintaining, and evolving security architecture standards, principles, and roadmaps aligned with business needs, technology strategy, and regulatory requirements
Ensuring security and compliance are integrated across the full lifecycle of applications, systems, infrastructure, and platforms
Advising projects and teams on secure design, security technologies, and effective control mechanisms
Identifying security gaps and architectural risks, recommending improvements, and collaborating with stakeholders to remediate them
Maintaining visibility of key security risks, vulnerabilities, and trends to support governance and informed decision-making
Contributing to the design and delivery of GBS cyber security services to Business Units
Supporting risk assessments, audits, and other GRC activities, using outcomes to strengthen the overall security posture
Collaborating with business, legal, and procurement teams to ensure security and compliance requirements are reflected in contracts and supplier engagements
What we are looking for:
Strong ability to translate complex technical and security concepts into clear, engaging communication
Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to manage initiatives independently
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English
Solid understanding of security governance, risk, and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)
Ability to balance security and regulatory requirements with business and operational needs
A strong interest in cyber security architecture and continuous improvement
A clear belief in and practical approach to Zero Trust principles
Experience guiding projects and initiatives on security best practices
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, Cybersecurity, programming, or a related field (relevant experience may compensate for formal education)
Experience and/or a strong interest in the following areas:
Security architecture (e.g. Zero Trust, Secure by Design)
Application security, SSDLC, OWASP Top 10, vulnerability management
Security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST CSF
Bridging technical security with GRC requirements
Security operations, including Incident response, threat hunting, digital forensics
Cloud and identity security (e.g. Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, E5 security tools)
