Major Duties:

  • You will serve as a Cyber Operations Specialist in Joint Forces Headquarters Fires Element Forward, Joint Force Headquarters – Cyber, Operations Directorate at U.S. Fleet Cyber Command.
  • You will serve as subject matter expert (SME) on planning and integrating Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO) targeting actions.
  • You will advise cyber planners how to integrate Department of Defense (DoD) cyber community standards and processes into their targeting and fires plans to address a wide variety of threats.
  • You will advise cyber planners on how to integrate Navy/DoD cyber community standards and processes into targeting and fires plans to address threat vectors and ill-defined vulnerabilities.
  • You will provide comprehensive analytical assessments, including metrics to indicate the status of program parameters.
  • You will present findings of studies to persuade leadership to adapt new procedures.
  • You will serve as and designates other team members to coordinate, synchronize, and de-conflict targeting effects in support of real-time cyberspace operations (CO), as well as exercises.
  • You will assess and justify the extent to which plans, defined targets, and tactics facilitated achievement of mission objectives and exercises.
  • You will make recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of fires planning and OCO targeting.

Qualifications: Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: -Experience providing authoritative assessments and recommendations for optimizing quick response to mission critical cyber contingencies. -Experience providing authoritative assessments and recommendations for optimizing quick response to mission critical cyber contingencies. -Experience identifying and researching trends and patterns to develop new methods, developing new standard operating procedures. -Experience presenting, discussing, negotiating, and defending fires and targeting methodologies, analysis, and processes inherent to the successful posturing of cyberspace options development. This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at Work Level SENIOR, Series and Grade GG-0301-14.
