The Opportunity:
As a mission systems engineer specializing in complex, high‑consequence environments, you know that resilient system design is the backbone of mission success. At Booz Allen, you’ll apply your engineering expertise across IT, mission systems, space systems, and industrial control environments designing, integrating, and optimizing critical systems that must operate flawlessly under demanding conditions.
In this role, your primary focus is engineering, analyzing system architectures, integrating software and hardware components, validating system behaviors, and ensuring mission systems function reliably from end to end. You’ll apply the Software Development Life Cycle to guide design decisions, develop engineering documentation, and support system validation and verification activities that directly impact operational readiness.
Cybersecurity is woven throughout the mission, and your role incorporates it as an engineering requirement, not the sole focus. You’ll assess how cyber risks influence system performance, apply NIST RMF concepts within engineering workflows, and collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure the solutions you design are resilient to evolving threats, including integrating secure architectures into mission systems, ensuring controls align with federal and DoD requirements, and supporting mission unique environments where security and engineering must be tightly coupled.
You will support system integration efforts across cloud platforms and mission systems, interpret technical requirements, and translate them into engineering plans, design artifacts, and configuration baselines. Your research and analysis will inform leadership on system behaviors, mission impacts, and engineering trade‑offs, helping drive decisions that strengthen mission performance.
If you want to work shoulder to shoulder with mission operators and engineers building, integrating, and securing the systems that underpin our most critical national missions, this is the opportunity to make your impact.
