We’re looking for someone like you to steer complex data exploration and analytics projects through your experience with algorithms, data mining, and analytic engineering.
As an advanced data scientist on our National Cyber team, you will support the research and development of new cyber analytic capabilities that will help the U.S. protect and defend its networks and critical information systems. Your work will contribute to the knowledge of how cyber-attacks work, how vulnerabilities are exploited, and the way hostile cyber actors operate. Utilize your skills to help experiment and prototype future cyber capabilities for implementation at a large scale.
Your exceptional skill set will create useful and actionable insight for the customer through the development of analytic solutions for analytic use cases developed during the performance of this project. You will work closely with the Analytics Research team to identify platform enhancements that support the forward-looking analytics under consideration.
The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of a wide variety of systems and networks to include high-volume and high-availability systems. You are focused on results, a self-starter, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive the understanding, growth, and success of the analysis. You Have:
3+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
3+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
Experience with cyber threats, tools, techniques, and processes
Experience with the Databricks Intelligence platform
Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering
Nice If You Have:
Experience in developing analytic tools, processes, and governance for storing, modeling, capturing, and delivering data to the client’s enterprise
Experience with computational notebook software such as Zeppelin or Jupyter
Experience with the application of visual analytics to computational analytics results
Experience with database querying, such as SQL
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification
CompTIA Security+ Cybersecurity Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
