CVOR Analyst

The CVOR Analyst supports GFL’s Ontario fleet safety performance by monitoring CVOR data, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing operational insights to reduce risk and maintain an industry-leading safety rating. This role partners closely with Operations, Fleet, and Safety teams to proactively identify trends, support audits, and strengthen driver safety programs across the region. This role will involve approximately 40% travel, with the remaining 60% of time spent in the office and/or working from home.



 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze CVOR performance, driver safety trends, and roadside inspection data across Ontario operations

  • Conduct compliance reviews of driver logs (HOS), DVIRs, maintenance records, and fleet documentation to ensure alignment with MTO and National Safety Code requirements

  • Identify safety risks, recurring violations, and mechanical trends; provide actionable insights to Operations leadership

  • Support internal and external transportation audits, including preparation of documentation and regulatory responses

  • Maintain accurate fleet, licensing, and safety records, including CVOR-related reporting and registrations

  • Partner with Fleet and Safety teams to support remedial training initiatives based on CVOR and incident data Liaise with Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and regulatory agencies as required Develop reports and dashboards to track regional safety performance and compliance metrics

Key Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in transportation safety, fleet compliance, logistics, or CVOR- related analysis within Ontario

  • Strong knowledge of Ontario CVOR program, National Safety Code (NSC), and Hours of Service (HOS) regulations

  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, data analysis, reporting)

  • Experience with fleet telematics or ELD platforms (e.g., Geotab, Samsara or similar)

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with ability to interpret regulatory and operational data

  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with Operations, Drivers, and Regulatory bodies

  • Post-secondary education in Transportation, Logistics, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field preferred
