CVO SSM Vehicle Operations Analyst

Job Description

In this role, you will own the day-to-day operations of GM company vehicles within CVO SSM Fleet Operations. You’ll be the go-to person for event logistics, vehicle inventory, compliance, and reporting—making sure the right vehicles are in the right place, in the right condition, at the right time to support critical business needs.  This is a great opportunity for a professional who enjoys working cross‑functionally, solving operational problems, and bringing structure to complex vehicle and event logistics.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Oversee event coordination, including vehicle procurement, transportation, repairs, disposals, insurance, and contractual documentation ensuring compliance with GM policies.

  • Coordination of ride and drive events, including vehicle selection, preparation, scheduling, and post‑event reconciliation to ensure proper vehicle usage, safety, and compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant GM policies and procedures, including FMCSA, safe driving, insurance, and record retention requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records in internal systems (such as eCVMS), including vehicle assignments, inventory status, and shipment records (VTIMS).

  • Serve as a liaison between internal teams (e.g., marketing, logistics, policy team) and external partners to ensure efficient vehicle management.

  • Manage sweepstakes and donation vehicle transaction process. Keep records for 1099 tax submissions.

  • Perform inventory analysis and report on vehicle utilization, availability, aging, and fleet mix to support planning, allocation, and leadership decision-making.

  • Review and approve reimbursement requests for vehicle-related expenses, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with GM guidelines.

  • Update and manage key operational spreadsheets and tracking tools, such as buildout/startup schedules and inventory reports, to support vehicle ordering, distribution, and forecasting.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 2 + years of experience in logistics, supply chain, operations, fleet management, or automotive-related functions

  • Advanced MSFT Office skills

  • Experience with inventory management

  • Comfortable with AI and new evolving technologies.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficiency with vehicle management systems, inventory reporting tools, and internal documentation processes.

  • Ability to interpret operational and inventory data and produce clear, actionable reports for stakeholders at multiple levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.

Location: This is an Onsite role and requires that the selected employee report to the Warren location 5 days per week.
