Customer & Vendor Master Data Analyst

What will you be doing?

Please include specific internal and external relationships, product focus (if any), regulatory requirements, etc.

Member of Customer and Vendor Centre of Excellence team supporting the process globally. The position will focus on timely and accurate processing of creation and change requests for Vendor & Customer master data Coordinate and resolve processing/reporting and any conflict issues within the MDM team.

This position supports process globally in different ERP system (SAP, Axapta etc.) and workflow tools (Winshuttle, Appian, Eflow and SNOW) depending on the market and region. It requires close cooperation with internal customers and vendors on understanding daily problems.

Implement Customer, Employee & Vendor master data quality best practices.

Create training materials and documentation and execute training using the appropriate tools, where appropriate.

Participate in data harmonization activities, and MDM process-improvement workshops.

Maintain the MDM Standard Operating Procedures and Data Dictionary.

Identify gaps in policies and escalate issues to Manager, Finance approver or Data Governance Team as necessary for resolution.

Assist in defining and documenting global MDM processes.

What will you need to be successful?

(40 %) - Technology

Processing requests in different ERP systems (SAP PR1, SAP EPR, SAP PRD, S4Hana, AXAPTA) and Workflow tools (Syndigo,Winshuttle, Appian, Eflow and SNOW).

Prepare/Update Winshuttle scripts to automate the work.

Load mass upload requests for Customer and Vendor using Winshuttle scripts.

Troubleshooting of requests in case automation fails.

Co-ordinate and resolve processing/reporting and field conflict issues within the MDM team.

Mapping SAP Non-Third-Party Vendors with Ariba.

(50 %) - Process

Execute master data transactions covering create, amend and extend for vendors, customers etc.

Generate Customer, Employee and Vendor Master reports from ERP based on requests received from Stakeholders.

Provides data governance and ensures data integrity by coordinating data management efforts across the organization.

Identify gaps in policies and escalate issues to Manager, Finance approver or Data Quality Organization as necessary for resolution.

Create and update MDM knowledge articles and Standard Operating Procedures.

Follow Vendor and Customer master data quality best practices.

Follow standards/guidance for master data auditing/validating and cleansing.

Support Data Migration from legacy system.

Initiate Bank master update in SAP with the help of data from SWIFT.

Performing Audit controls in Trintech.

(10 %) - People

Attend relevant workshops for requirements gathering.

Ability to work in global team setting and fast paced environment.

Coordinating with internal stakeholders and internal teams.

Leading engagement activities or knowledge bytes for team.


Experience:

  • 4+ years MDM experience required, Vendor and Customer Master Data within a global environment would be beneficial.
  • Winshuttle/Appian working experience preferred.
  • Strong and proven experience in SAP including mass uploads in SAP.

Competences:

  • A perfect understanding of data management principles and best practice.
  • Good interpersonal skills – ability to build good relationships with virtual teams
  • and senior leadership.
  • Excellent research, Communication, Presentation skills and must be fluent in English language.
  • Flexible to work in Non-US or US shifts till 4.30am IST as per requirement.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Data Analysis skills.
  • Ability to participate in international projects groups.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required in Commerce.  Master’s degree a plus.
