 About the Role

This role is responsible for delivery of   3  key   parts  of  commercial/ Customer  service  and   supply  chain  strategy  for   Diageo  Ireland  operations.

 

1.        Customer collaboration Direct liaison  with  our  Core  customer (80% THT   sales)   to  drive  casefill  improvement  (Increased  sales) while  also driving   improvements in Customer Collaboration practices & initiatives.  (Cost, Inventory,Service).  Management  of    the  top  7  customers  meeting  weekly  to  align  commercial and  supply  chain plans.

2.        Advantage  group    Drive  and  coordinate  the  5  commercial  streams  of    the  advantage  group.  Work  with  commercial   to deliver the diamond    model consistently  and  drive  to number  one  in advantage  group.

3.        Inventory  supply  the management of inventory  supply  operations across  Ireland and  northern  Ireland and partnering with the Diageo  global  Supply business, Commercial teams (on & off trade), Finance, Order to cash  teams  teams to deliver the  highest  level  of  service to our  customers. 

 

Role Responsibilities

Customer collaboration responsibilities:

  • Direct liaison  with  our  Core  customer (80% THT   sales)   to  drive  casefill  improvement  (Increased  sales) while  also driving   improvements in Customer Collaboration practices & initiatives.  (Cost, Inventory,Service).  Management  of    the  top  7  customers  meeting  weekly  to  align  commercial and  supply  chain plans.
  • Drive  and  coordinate  the  5  commercial  streams  of    the  advantage  group.  Work  with  commercial   to deliver the diamond    model consistently  and  drive  to number  one  in advantage  group.
  • Design, lead, execute initiatives and projects with the customers in order to generate sales growth (NSV) and/or expand the profit margin (cost reduction), driving efficiencies and alignment in the end to end supply chain (Diageo- Customer) and building solid and productive relationships.
  • Implement and harness joint performance score carding and collaborative forecasting with key Diageo  customers  (80%  of  Take  home  trade  Sales) to make Diageo a leading FMCG in its customer responsiveness.
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of strategies to make Diageo a leading FMCG for Supply Chain and logistics on the TAG survey.   (Annual Industry  benchmark review)
  • Master level use of Customer Collaboration Maturity Matrix & value chain analysis tools
  • Deploy and encourage the simplification/integration/collaboration agenda with the customer, finding opportunities, multifunctional project, connecting with Diageo/Customer purpose, in order to achieve the breakthrough of service level, inventory reduction and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the cost to serve continues improvement actions to generate business profit expansion in all channels and customers.

Inventory  Supply responsibilities:

  • Managing inventory supply through engagement with customers, commercial and global supply stakeholders to maximise availability ( >CFR 98.5%) and minimizing SLOB stock (<10%) across a product portfolio.
  • Direct liaison with Diageo Ireland   board/executive  members regarding issues pertaining to their market channel.  (Ontrade  and  offtrade Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland)
  • Lead the supply chain management for all customer (proposal, negotiation, execution) aligned with business plan ensuring the Sell In growth &/or joint value creation programmes
  • Act as the in-country interface for global  supply  liaising  between  Customer Service Team, Logistics and our 3rd party logistics Operator, defining the right roles & responsibilities and ways of working
  • Ensure the Sales and  operations  planning process ,  and  sales  and operations execution  cycles execution  occur to  a  high  standard.
  • Manage in market  inventory  of  all Keg, spirits, and  beer  products.  Drive improvement  initiatives  to reduce  inventory  costs  by  5%  per  annum.
  • Instigate re-work and redirection of finished goods where necessary to minimise aged stock write-off.
  • Responsible for supply  chain CARM compliance  for   Diageo  Ireland.
  • Ensure the supply chain is optimised and delivers a competitive advantage that drives the business agenda (more sales with less resources)
  • Understand the  sourcing  risks   and minimise any   market impact arising from international logistics complexities including alternative global  product sourcing arrangements and routes to market.
  • Ensure product innovations, renovations and delists delivered correctly end to end with appropriate hand-offs made between commercial and supply functions
