We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Customer Solution Engineer (MP Tender) to be responsible for providing technical expertise to identify the most suitable KONE product for customer requirements. This role involves interpreting customer specifications and aligning them with KONE’s solutions, including escalators, auto walks, machine-room-less elevators, high-rise systems, and third-party equipment. The engineer also plays a key role in developing non-standard solutions and supporting the tendering process, ensuring that all technical requirements are met with KONE’s product offerings.
What will you do?
Communication with Customer or project team:
- Responsible for attending regular customer meetings along with Sales to clarify all the technical queries.
- Accountable for overall solution for the customer, including integrations, solutions, services, and products
- He/she takes responsibility to define the specifications, costs, and lead times in co-operation with other Front-Line parties, Supply Line, and Area and Global support functions.
Collaboration with sales:
- Responsible for finding optimal technical solutions to meet the customer’s needs for non-standard
- Ensures clarity on the solution’s scope, including KONE and possible third-party offerings
- Select the correct product platform on which to make the offering
- Propose solutions from all KONE business lines; new services, escalators, elevators, doors, etc.
Collaboration with Supply Line:
- Responsible for preparing the customer specification into the KONE language and getting the corporate prices from SC.
- Ensure that the proposed solution fulfils local codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
General responsibilities:
- Participates in product and new services release information-sharing sessions
- Offers input to the product offering management about customization, standardization and interface requirements for the portfolio
- Contribution to the Customer Solutions Engineering virtual and local network
- Contribute to and utilize the Customer Solutions Engineering case library
- Is the primary front-line technical contact person for the Supply Line Tendering Engineers.
Are you the one?
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the elevator business or another relevant field.
- Excellent verbal and written English and Arabic language will be the added value skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer handling skills.
- Understanding of different building types and customer segments.
- Good knowledge of environmental and sustainability requirements and norms.
- Good CAD and optional BIM skills.
- Basic knowledge of competitors’ products.
- Good understanding of a product’s total costing is built up &local norms and regulations.
