Customer Service Specialist

We are looking for someone who will thrive in a sales and service environment. We’ll provide the training you need on an array of AAA products and services to interface with members with confidence. This training will help you meet your individual and team cross-selling and upselling goals. You’ll also have the opportunity to advance with skill-based pay increases, quarterly bonuses, and career growth (90% of our managers are promoted from within).

This is an exciting entry level position in our branch network and ideal for candidates interested working in a teamwork environment interfacing with AAA members. This position fulfills member requests such as: taking passport photos, planning road trips, distributing maps and tour books, cashiering duties, and other services for members.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in retail sales, banking or similar customer service/sales environment

  • Proven ability to exceed assigned sales or service quality goals

  • Ability to work overtime including Saturdays

  • Experience with Microsoft Office basics

  • Ability to travel locally when necessary

  • A high school diploma or GED

  • Successful completion of background check and drug screening

  • nd upgrade memberships to higher value (AAA Plus, RV or Premiere etc.) as appropriate.
  • Greet members and determine individual needs. Verify memberships and enter members into queue for appropriate service.
  • May order supplies, receive shipments, send and distribute mail, and maintain office/bookstore inventory. Balance and reconcile cash drawers against end of day reports. Process insurance payments in timely matter according to ACE policies and procedures. Ensure PCI compliance in processing all transactions.
  • Assist to resolve ERS complaints and discrepancies. Assist in the resolution of member hotel complaints. Properly channel complaints to expedite resolution. Resolve discrepancies on billing statements. Refer issues to management as necessary.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required. Support Maine License Renewals for BMV (for Maine branches only).
  • Must be able to process Branch cashiering transactions following and ensuring PCI compliance. Transactions include Travel, Insurance and Automotive, as well as successfully balance and reconcile the cash drawer. The position analyzes member needs and requests and determines the best service recommendations/actions, and product offerings to drive quality and MRM results. Requires the ability to counsel members with more complex requests before entering them into the queue.


Qualifications

  • High School GED
  • 1-3 years Customer service
  • Comprehensive knowledge desired in a variety of the organization’s operating areas, products and services offered. Moderate knowledge of Branch Office Operations delivery channels desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide customer service to support Member Satisfaction and Branch Goal attainment. Advanced verbal and written communication skills required as are analytical and time management skills. General typing, Windows, Outlook, Word, and Internet/Intranet access skills required.
  • Moderate knowledge of Club systems, including but not limited to; POS, MACS, AUTOMATED TRIPTIKS, FINANCIAL PRODUCTS, VIEWPOINT, APOLLO, PSAR AND MRM desired.
  • Capable of completing Computer Based Training courses as required for AutoClub training.
  • Notary Public - National Notary Association within 1 Year Required

  • Occasional travel to off-site business meetings or conferences. (5% proficiency)
