ABOUT THIS JOB

Position Specific Summary

The Customer Service Representative position at the City of Tucson’s Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for assisting the public by addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing support.

Work is performed under the supervision of the Administrative Services Coordinator. This position does not supervise. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the public in person, via phone, or email by routing requests to the appropriate stakeholder. Assists the public with making ramada reservations in city parks and entering calendar reservations. Issues vendor permits for special events, ice cream trucks, and amusement contractors by collecting and filing appropriate documentation.
  • Processes payments for ramada reservations and permit fees by cash or card. Reconciles cash drawers at the end of each day. Verifies and processes discount program applications. Creates accounts and registers customers for classes.
  • Maintains and reserves conference rooms for a variety of stakeholders. Collaborates with other department divisions for reservations and assists with 311 call center requests.
  • Drives vehicles to fleet services for routine maintenance and cleaning. Maintains schedule and reservations for 15-passenger vans and oversees maintenance schedules for fleet.
  • Orders office supplies as needed.
  • Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Working Conditions

Mostly office environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: One (1) year of directly related experience
Equivalency: Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
Valid and unrestricted Class D Arizona Driver License
