Customer Service Representative

The Cusomer Service Representative will assist in selling and promoting GFL’s solid waste services to businesses and industrial establishments by placing outgoing calls and handling incoming customer calls and questions in a professional, courteous manner. Assist outside sales representative with appointment setting, customer tracking and quotations.



 

Job Summary:
GFL Environmental Services USA, Inc. is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative. The Customer Service Representative will be accountable for answering customer calls and entering work orders for an oil-based company. We are looking for a reliable Customer Service Representative to perform tasks that will help us grow our business and maintain current customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service and professionalism to all customers via telephone or 
email.
• Field phone calls and set up work orders and dispatch accordingly.
• Work closely with drivers for Logistics routing and dispatch.
• Receive and resolve, within established guidelines, customer questions and concerns.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
• Monitor, resolve, and document customer issues.
• Obtain relevant information to handle product and service inquiries.
• Provide established pricing and assist in confirming scheduling if needed.
• Manage customer accounts.
• Accounts Receivable and collection (when needed).
• Keep track and follow up on customer interactions when necessary.
• Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
• Maintain a positive attitude and promote the GFL Environmental image by focusing on 
cooperation, employee partnership and positive telephone and email manners.

Knowledge, Skills and Key Competencies:

 Minimum of 3 years CSR experience required.

• Associate's degree in business preferred but not required.
• Possess ability to speak and communicate effectively with customers and employees both 
verbally and in writing.

• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to organize multiple projects and have excellent multitasking skills.
• Good problem-solving ability.
