Summary:
An International Customer Service Representative III is responsible for engaging with customers on behalf of World Courier. Handles all client and office inquiries for shipments crossing an international border and Puerto Rico.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Your duties will include answering phone calls or emails from internal and external customers to provide relevant information regarding shipments
You are an active part of the supply chain by processing the shipment requirements from our customers in a timely matter and accurately both domestically and internationally
You will also be participating in meetings with the clients to follow up on their service expectations
Facilitates orders entered into our system of new shipments placed by our clients
These new orders can be placed by phone, email, or directly via the Customer Portal
Ensuring that the routing selected for the shipment matches the customer’s requirements is very important
To do that, the candidate requires strong geographic and TMS/Jetstream skills
It is also important that the Intl CS Rep III be knowledgeable about the specific documents required when requesting authorization to export a shipment
This dynamic position will allow the Intl CS Rep III to assist patients in many ways and utilize many personal and professional skills
Strong communications and writing skills are necessary to provide clear and concise instructions to all parties for effectively handling the shipment
Building strong working relationships with customers and agents by providing the best level of service and accomplishing the following skills are important, the ability to prioritize, good communication and interpersonal skills, maintain composure in all situations, possess a professional demeanor, ability to adjust to change, ability to problem solve and work independently and ability to work under stressful conditions, ability to remain focused and attention to detail
Required Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong written and oral communication
At least two years of customer service experience is required
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Proficient in the use of TMS, OptiView, Jetstream, OMNI and KSMS
Export and Import experience is required
Strong written and oral communication
Strong communications and teamwork skills
Flexibility in work schedule – the 24-hour company will require overtime, holiday schedules, and weekend shifts as necessary
Proficiency in World Courier systems (WorldSTAR, BioSTAR, OpSTAR, OptiView, etc.)
Strong Geography skills
