Location: Plymouth, Michigan (onsite)
Travel: Regular customer visits, including Stellantis and other key accounts

As our next Customer Quality Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of managing non-conformance issues, warranty claims, and customer complaints for imported products in the Americas and JE Canada operations. Your expertise in quality assurance and root cause analysis will be crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and minimizing risk exposure.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Serve as the initial point of contact between customers and Johnson Electric for quality issues.
• Manage non-conformance issues, warranty claims, and QPR logs.
• Lead root cause analysis and containment activities for quality issues.
• Control sorting costs and ensure timely 8D responsiveness.
• Analyze customer returns for 0KM and warranty trends.
• Prepare customer situation reports, 8Ds, and containment plans for review.
• Conduct customer visits and assess risk during quality/warranty situations.
• Coordinate quality meetings with JE manufacturing sites.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience in 8D reporting and quality tools.
• Experience working in a manufacturing facility and with external customers.
• Strong understanding of motors, actuators, and pumps.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience with PPAP management and automotive quality standards.
