Customer Product Repair Mechanic (m/f/t)

For our service department in Wiener Neudorf, we are looking for a repair technician (m/f/x) for our SIHI dry products in full time.

In this challenging position, you will act as a specialist in solving problems on site or at the customer's plant and be the link between our customers and the product specialists in our plants. Your experience and your analysis of the challenges on the customer systems serve our product development to improve our machine as well as to increase the satisfaction of our customers.

You also have a lively exchange with our sales engineers and thus have a direct influence on the further development of the SIHI dry business field. Your professional and safety-conscious appearance at the customer's site contributes significantly to customer loyalty and the consolidation of trust in the reliability of our products and services.

The main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Repair and service work on pumps in the workshop and at the customer site, including electronically controlled vacuum pumps (dry-running).

  • Disassembly, fault analysis, and troubleshooting of all types of pumps (primarily in the workshop).

  • Replacement of mechanical and electronic components and spare parts.

  • Reworking of metallic pump components.

  • Proper assembly of pumps and pump units, including leak testing, functional testing (for dry-running vacuum pumps), and touch-up painting.

  • Preparation of protocols and service reports.

  • Commissioning and installation checks of units and pumps at the customer’s site.

  • Inspection and assessment of the safety chain on ATEX SIHI dry machines.

  • Testing and measuring electronic components.

  • Goods receipt, incoming inspection, packaging, and shipping.

  • Maintenance and care of existing machines, tools (including service truck), and safety equipment (including PPE).

Requirements profile:         

  • Completed apprenticeship as mechanical technician.

  • Several years of experience, especially with customers.

  • Qualification for certain electrical tasks.

  • Experience working in EX-protected areas is an advantage.

  • Safety knowledge or certification (i.e. SCC).

  • Good knowledge of MS Office.

  • Good English knowledge.

  • Solution-oriented, team player.

  • Hands-on mentality.

  • Independent, reliable, eager to learn.

  • Ability to work responsibly and accurately.

  • Willingness to work in the field at home and abroad.

  • Class B driver’s license.

  • Forklift license.
