Our Customer Operations professionals play a vital role in ensuring a seamless customer experience, working closely with Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Operations teams to deliver responsive support, efficient order management, and strong customer partnerships.

Based in Melbourne, this team thrives on collaboration, service excellence, and building trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders alike.

 

Job Summary:
The Customer Operations Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional customer support while ensuring the smooth execution of order management, logistics coordination, and operational processes.

Acting as a key point of contact for customers, this role focuses on maintaining strong relationships, supporting sales activities, resolving inquiries, and ensuring accurate and efficient handling of customer orders and data. The position plays an important role in supporting the continued growth and operational excellence of Semtech’s M2M Connectivity business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer sales and purchase order entry, invoicing, and logistics coordination to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
  • Act as the primary contact for customer inquiries, providing responsive front-line support and resolving operational or service-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate customer information within CRM and ERP systems to support efficient operations and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Management, Sales, and Finance teams to ensure smooth order processing, issue resolution, and customer satisfaction.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to coordinate logistics, support operational processes, and maintain high service standards.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Business Administration or similar qualification preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in customer service, customer operations, or order management roles
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with SAP, ERP, or CRM systems
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting sales or operations teams within a technology, telecommunications, or connectivity environment
  • Knowledge of order management, logistics coordination, and customer account administration processes
  • Experience working with CRM platforms and enterprise ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage customer data accurately
  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
