PURPOSE:

The Customer Operations Associate is responsible for the end to end execution of incoming customer orders. The Customer Operations Associate works closely with the Logistics Operations Team in optimizing case fill for customer orders, the Distribution Operations Team in ensuring on time delivery of shipments, the Sales team to schedule delivery timing for written orders, and the Planning team to address product availability. They communicate directly with customers, brokers and sales managers regarding deliveries, cuts, availability dates, etc.

KEY ACCOUTNABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES:

  • Process and validate orders from EDI, email, fax for data accuracy including product files, customer data, pricing discrepancies, order date alignment for truckload consolidation, etc.

  • Oversee sample orders, working with carriers and customers on OS&D (Over short and damaged).

  • Direct contact to customer replenishment buyer. Establish and maintain a positive relationship to collaborate on order management. Work with Customer Service Team Lead to identify possible improvements and drive towards flawless execution for order to cash cycle.

  • Ongoing reviews with Sales on upcoming promotions, critical stock issues, cut information on sales orders.

  • Run reports to identify incomplete sales orders, required data maintenance, sales volume, on-time adherence, etc.

  • Utilize customer web-based information site for order tracking, order receipt, etc.

  • Balance case fill and on time delivery to the customer with the goal of maximizing case fill while ensuring on time delivery within the Customer Ship to Arrive Date.

  • Communicates with Supply Chain Planning, production facilities, and warehouses on orders outside normal policy to enable timely service to the customer.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Essential Criteria

  • 2-4 years of Customer Service experience in the consumer goods industry, including Logistics/Operations/Manufacturing experience

  • Technical understanding of SAP, Navision, or other ERP Solutions

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Access

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Essential Criteria

Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business-related fields

ADDTIONAL JOB DETAILS:

Base starting salary at $68,289/yr. The base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
