The Mission
Financial Markets (FM) is the Bank’s gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of ING’s clients with products, services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets, with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.
The FMGT Tribe is the change delivery department of Financial Markets (‘FM’) and Group Treasury (‘GT’), realizing client ambitions by connecting them to global markets, providing financial solutions, and delivering lasting value.
Within FM, in Competitive Pricing area, we have ING Pricing Architecture (IPA) asset, which consists of multiple components that enable real-time and batch calculations of financial risk metrics and simulations (e.g. XVA, PFE, Value at Risk, Expected Shortfall, Bilateral Margining, pre-deal derivatives Pricing) which are driven by new banking regulations as well as advanced Risk analysis on the derivative product portfolio of Financial Markets (interest rates, credits, foreign exchange). This asset is in the heart of the IT landscape for our global dealing rooms and risk managers in Asia, Europe and Americas, with aprox. 30 scrum teams spread across 4 locations (Amsterdam, Brussels, Bucharest and Singapore), cooperating to evolve it towards target ING Financial Markets IT vision.
We are seeking an ambitious and pragmatic team player to join our Customer Journey Expert, focusing on end-to-end customer journeys to enhance customer experience through functional expertise and seamless support. As part of IPA Business Support (IPA BS), you will also collaborate across FMGT teams to drive system reliability and stability, and lead project testing initiatives that span multiple squads.
Your day to day
Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your day will be quite similar when comes to tasks. Together with your customer journey expert colleagues in Bucharest, Amsterdam, Brussels and London, you will:
Build and maintain sustainable relationships with key stakeholders (Trading, Risk Management, IT), focusing on understanding their challenges and opportunities to improve overall experience
Act as the voice of customer needs, ensuring concerns are heard and addressed
Empower financial risk and trading teams by providing functional support on day-to-day issues related to pricing, risk management, and position keeping systems.
Lead and coordinate project testing initiatives across FMGT squads, ensuring thorough validation and alignment with business objectives.
Combine market and system knowledge with business expertise to lead change initiatives and provide unwavering post-production support.
Accumulate and document knowledge on end-to-end customer journeys, ensuring it is up to date and shared.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies and ensure a seamless, reliable customer journey.
Lead, guide, and inspire others in specific areas, managing preparations and commitments regarding deliverables, with a focus on stability, reliability, and end-user experience.
Negotiate and monitor SLAs for system stability and support.
Lead root cause analysis for critical incidents and ensure timely resolution.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by streamlining workflows and eliminating inefficiencies.

What you’ll bring to the team
Experience:
5+ years background in Financial Markets and/or Treasury
Skills/knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree completed.
In-depth knowledge of financial market products and their life cycle events (e.g. FX, MM, Rates & Credits, Fixed Income, Repos).
Understanding of risk management concepts and practices for market, credit, and operational risk.
Prior experience supporting traders and market risk managers in the financial markets industry preferred.
Python and cloud management preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and systems used in trading and risk management.
Experience in Python programming, shell scripting, and automated workflow orchestration tooling is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud-native software development methodologies such as Google Cloud Platform.
Hands-on experience with backlog management tooling (e.g. Azure BLM) and CICD tooling (e.g. Azure DevOps).
Experience working in Agile/Scrum is a plus.
Good communication and presentation skills (in English), across different skill and seniority levels.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing environments.
Enjoy working in a diverse, multicultural environment; trust others and can be trusted.
Foreign languages: English (excellent level)
Education: Completed education at Bachelor/Master level
