Position Overview:

The Customer Insights Analyst provides analytical support across a wide range of information, database and guest analysis, promo analysis and pricing analysis to enable the marketing team to make enhanced business decisions. To be successful in this role, you will be required to demonstrate a strong understanding of data strategy as well as work with various stakeholders across the business. The ideal candidate will have experience in storytelling through the usage of various data sources and will demonstrate an inquisitive nature by constantly searching for areas of opportunity for growth.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field, (business, analytics, marketing, statistics, or economics) required

  • 2 years in a business analyst or data analyst role, required

  • Multi-unit retail and/or restaurant experience, preferred

  • Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong presentation skills 

Location Requirement: 

This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

Development and maintenance of marketing reporting: 

  • Work cross-functionally within the marketing team, operations, and finance to perform analysis on various types of data such as sales, product mix, loyalty, and other marketing KPIs.

  • Track daily sales performance for LTO offerings and closely monitor sales vs forecast.

  • Perform post-mortem promotional analysis and compile recommendations for future promotional tactics.

  • Build comprehensive recaps of LTO and product drop performance and present findings to appropriate teams.  

Support the Senior Manager of Customer Insights in the development and implementation of pricing strategy:

  • Assist in the maintenance of the price change process.

  • Make recommendations on item-level pricing for future price increases.

  • Develop market strategies and campaigns based on data analysis and consumer insights and present recommendations to key stakeholders

  • Provide strategic guidance and insights to senior management to support decision-making and drive business growth

Present findings from various sources and provide recommendations to leadership and other key stakeholders:

  • Prepare Reports and data-driven insights to the marketing team and key stakeholders. 

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to track marketing performance and KPIs

  • Utilize statistical and analytical tools to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions.

  • Measure the ROI of promotional activities and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Identify trends and patterns in promotional data to optimize future campaigns. 

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Assist the Consumer Research Manager with various ad hoc projects

Skills:

  • Microsoft Excel

Physical Requirements:

  • In-Office Environment: Must be able to work in a busy, crowded, and loud office with frequent distractions and interruptions

  • Must be able to collaborate in-person with occasional impromptu in-person meetings

  • Office Conditions: Adaptability to typical office conditions, which may include exposure to air conditioning, heating, artificial lighting, and varying noise levels

  • Mobility: Ability to sit, stand, reach, twist, stretch, and work at a desk for long stretches.  Must be able to occasionally move or lift office items up to 25 pounds

  • Hearing Requirements: Hearing must be sufficient or correctable to ensure clear understanding of spoken information, including participating in virtual meetings and phone calls. Use of hearing aids or other assistive devices is acceptable if needed.

  • Reading and Writing Proficiency: Ability to read and write in English is essential for processing documents, drafting reports, and following up on necessary actions. Proficiency in written communication is required to handle job-related tasks effectively.

  • Vision Requirements: Vision must be adequate or correctable to perform essential job duties, such as reading documents on a computer screen and using other visual tools. Use of corrective lenses or other measures to meet visual requirements is expected if needed.

  • Technology Proficiency: Must be proficient in operating a computer and other office productivity tools such as printers, scanners, and collaboration software.

  • Effective Communication: Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via email, video conferencing, and other in office communication tools.
