BGS is seeking a Customer Facilities Technician ( Mid-Level) in Hazelwood, Missouri.  This role will be a Customer Facilities’ Program Principal responsible for Facility requirements documentation development. Responsibilities involve facility planning in support of weapons systems, air vehicles or support equipment operations to include environmental and safety requirements.

The Principal will assist the customer with facility design requirements that enable installation of aircrew training devices, facilities equipment and support equipment to include coordination of site logistics and base access. The focus of this role will be on direct interface between program representatives, customers, construction contractors, base representatives and local Public Works Department (PWD) authorities.

This candidate will travel domestically and internationally up to 25% for varying times of one week to 30 days, which at times may be on short notice.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops Air vehicle, weapons systems and equipment Facility Requirements Documents
  • Performs Site Evaluations and Reports to document results of site survey and provide recommendations
  • Conducts design reviews of facilities construction documents and performs on-site construction surveillance of facilities to ensure compliance with facilities support requirements
  • Provides input and estimates for facilities program planning
  • Develops and maintains integrated site activation plans
  • Responds to customer questions regarding facilities and support
  • Supports the installation, sell-off, delivery and sustainment of the customer facilities
  • Research facilities requirements (e.g., Department of Defense, industry and platform) and resolves discrepancies by coordinating with team members
  • Develops, revises and distributes Facilities Requirement Documents
  • Resolves technical problems and content discrepancies during the finalization of text, tables and drawings
  • Communicates the results of facilities equipment and support equipment research and analysis with team members
  • Conducts comprehensive site surveys and resolves site specific discrepancies with stakeholders
  • Provides evaluation for site-specific technical resources and reviews corrective actions and resolution of specific discrepancies with stakeholders
  • Develops, revises and distributes the Site Activation Plan
  • Validates customers' comments
  • Ensures resolution of technical problems and content discrepancies during the finalization of text, tables and drawings
  • Ensure graphics are consistent within documents and that they comply with industry standards
  • Create and develops discrete sections of briefings for domestic and international customers
  • Presents briefing information in line with program and target audience
  • Other related tasks include base access, personnel credentialing and equipment coordination and planning

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 4+ years’ experience in aircraft flight operations, military facilities management, aircraft heavy maintenance task, aircraft manufacturing, construction design projects and/or project management
  • Active Security Clearance
  • Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time both domestically and internationally
  • Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience in large report documentation and preparation
  • Construction experience with the ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Experience with aviation maintenance and management
  • Experience with integrated logistics support disciplines
  • Experience with military aircraft maintenance processes, policies, culture, and/or standard practices
  • Experience with site activation and operation of a Main Operating Base (MOB)
  • Experience with remote site activation and operation a Forward Operation Base (FOB)
  • Experience with AutoCAD

Summary Pay Range:$94,350 - $127,650
