Customer Engagement Manager (12m FTC)

OVERVIEW:

This is a 12-month FTC. You will own and lead the global customer lifecycle, audience, and segmentation strategy, translating customer insight into measurable growth in engagement, retention, and lifetime value.

Sitting within Customer Engagement, the role spans audience strategy and customer-led initiatives, with a remit broader than traditional CRM. You will drive end-to-end, multi-channel campaigns across CRM, paid media, and digital channels including YouTube and Meta.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Audience & Segmentation Strategy
  • Own global audience and targeting strategy for campaigns, including NPD launches.

  • Build segmentation frameworks using CDP data, covering customers and prospects, behavioural signals, spend, and local activations.

  • Oversee audience orchestration, exclusions, suppression logic, sunsetting, and overall database health.

  • Leverage (or partner on) predictive and propensity models to improve targeting and performance.

Customer Lifecycle & Campaigns
  • Lead the global customer lifecycle strategy across acquisition, engagement, retention, reactivation, and churn prevention.

  • Own core lifecycle campaigns (lost, nurture, reactivation, churn).

  • Develop pre-campaign analysis and strategic briefs, defining the what, who, when, and why.

  • Partner with marketing, channel, and creative teams to deliver bespoke execution.

Journey Orchestration & Multi-Channel Activation
  • Design and govern multi-channel customer journeys, ensuring consistent, relevant communications across all touchpoints.

  • Balance global consistency with local relevance across regions.

Measurement, Optimisation & Data
  • Define KPIs and lead performance reviews and optimisation.

  • Operate confidently in imperfect data environments, using insight, hypothesis, and testing.

  • Partner with Data and Tech teams to improve dashboards and reporting (post Tableau-to-Looker migration).

 

WHAT YOU'LL HAVE 

  • 8+ years’ experience in CRM, lifecycle, or customer marketing, including people leadership.
  • Deep expertise in segmentation, lifecycle design, and multi-channel activation.

  • Strong martech and data-driven marketing knowledge.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and translate insight into action.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Confident, persuasive stakeholder manager with the ability to challenge constructively. 
  • Experience influencing senior leadership and holding teams accountable to standards. 
  • Strong feedback, coaching, and team development capabilities. 

You must be able to attend out GSIQ head offices (Solihull), 3 days per week.
