Position Description:

The Customer Development Manager (CDM) is responsible for driving new business growth and retention within assigned accounts and territories. This role focuses on delivering a differentiated customer experience through consultative selling, data-driven insights, and strategic account management. CDMs leverage advanced analytics tools and collaborate with internal and external partners to identify opportunities, enhance customer profitability, and grow ATD's share of accounts. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, business acumen, and the ability to execute account strategies that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales, unit, and gross profit goals within assigned accounts and territory.
  • Develop and implement annual sales and marketing plans to drive revenue growth.
  • Identify new business opportunities and execute strategies to expand ATD’s footprint.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools to analyze customer needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Provide business solutions that directly impact customer profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Maximize sales opportunities through personal visits and virtual engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of contacts and activities in CRM systems.
  • Communicate relevant programs, promotions, and initiatives to customers.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to enhance customer experience.
  • Gather and share market intelligence, competitive information, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of sales playbooks and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
