Westpac is New Zealand’s market leader in delivering complex payments, technology and data solutions to business banking, institutional and government customers. We have a fantastic opportunity for a customer-oriented person who is a driver of change to join our Transactional Banking (TB) team.

Mō te tūranga | About the Role

Your core responsibility will be to manage the delivery of complex customer projects for both new and existing Corporate and Institutional customers, including new to bank onboarding, digital and expense management platforms and large-scale change. Utilising your deep knowledge of transaction banking and relentless focus on customer needs, you will lead and support our customers through the project lifecycle, expertly managing your stakeholders and meeting project milestones. 

Support and collaborate closely within the Transactional Banking (“TB”) business and wider Institutional & Business Banking (“IBB”) to execute the TB strategy, ensuring alignment with the broader IBB goals, financial objectives and sound risk management.

  • Customer and delivery experience in complex organisations.

  • A strong understanding of transactional banking products, services and client needs, with the ability to apply this knowledge to deliver tailored solutions.

  • A strong focus on understanding and meeting customer needs, ensuring a high standard of service and satisfaction.

  • A results-oriented approach with the ability to identify opportunities, drive growth and refer these to the Transactional Relationship Team.

  • Understanding of sound risk management practices and the ability to apply them in day-to-day decision-making.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with clients and internal stakeholders to influence outcomes positively.
