Custom Indexing Associate

About this Opportunity:

As a Custom Indexing Associate, you will support the continued growth of our Custom Indexing solution. This individual will work closely with internal team members as well as outside advisors to facilitate the onboarding of new accounts, servicing existing accounts, and provide ongoing support for the day-to-day management of portfolios. This individual should be passionate about providing exceptional service to advisors, clients, and internal stakeholders, and possess a strong interest in using technology for mass portfolio customization. For Internal and External Candidates:
Candidates must work in-office at one of the following locations for at least 3 days per week: Berwyn, PA.

In this role,  you’ll get to:

  • Partner with portfolio managers, sales teams, and financial advisor clients to prepare accounts for initial trading and ongoing management
  • Follow up with financial advisors to gather missing data such as capital gain budgets, cost basis information, and other customization information
  • Facilitate the new account onboarding process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of required data and documentation
  • Utilize Orion technologies to support ongoing account monitoring, operational workflows, and platform supervision
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the benefits and features of Direct Indexing
  • Assist Portfolio Consultants and Investment Strategists in the creation of sales proposals
  • Collaborate cross functionally to support advisors and clients needs with all aspects of Custom Indexing
  • Identify process improvements and contribute ideas to enhance workflows, technology usage, and client experience

We’re looking for talent who:

  • Is highly client-service oriented and understands the importance of positive, proactive engagement with advisor clients
  • Is process-driven with strong attention to detail across all stages of the client onboarding lifecycle
  • Follows up on outstanding items and take ownership of driving a smooth onboarding experience
  • Has familiarity with, or the ability to quickly learn, the Orion technology stack including Orion Connect, Eclipse, Reporting, and related ecosystem tools
  • Demonstrates strong collaboration, communication, and follow-up skills to maintain efficiency across the Custom Indexing team
  • Owns and manages stakeholder relationships and works effectively with partners at all levels of the organization
  • Is comfortable working both independently and within a highly collaborative team environment
  • Has excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
  • Brings a proactive, curious mindset with a desire to improve technology, workflows, and product delivery
  • Has a solid understanding of portfolio optimization and tax-aware investing concepts
  • Has a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Has proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
  • Has less than 1 year of experience in investment operations, portfolio support, advisor service, or financial services
  • Preferably has Salesforce experience
  • Has strong organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Learns and navigates multiple technology platforms efficiently

Salary Range:

$26.06 - $37.80

The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
