Responsibilities

  • Manage quality and reliability for Integrated Scanner Assembly, acting as the primary interface between HP and our partners quality teams.
  • Lead troubleshooting and improvement efforts for field issues, warranty escalations and customer feedback.
  • Oversee cross-platform ECN/ECAR changes, ensuring compliance with manufacturing and regulatory standards (IEC, TUV, UL, etc.).
  • Drive initiatives for yield improvement, cost savings, and maintaining product quality, including OBA fail countermeasures and PCC yield enhancements.
  • Support energy certification and stewardship programs (Blue Angel, Energy Star, recycled content hardware updates).
  • Build partnerships with internal and external manufacturing teams, and provide expertise for cross-functional engineering projects.
  • Apply advanced knowledge to resolve complex technical issues and shape policies for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with NPI teams early to provide DFM/DFA insights, share lessons learned from current products, validate manufacturability, and ensure a smooth transition from development to mass production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 4-6 years of experience in product design, development, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Strong CAD/CAM modeling skills (preference for One Space Designer), plastic/sheet metal design experience, and GD&T expertise.
  • Proven skills in engineering troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and design for manufacturing principles. Tooling and tool design background. Strong leadership, teamwork, and negotiation skills across technical and non-technical communities.
  • Ability to organize technical issues and drive resolution independently, with a growth mindset.
  • Prior knowledge of Integrated Scanner Assembly is not a must but desirable.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
