The Boeing Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) organization has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Culture, Engagement, Integration and Workforce Stability Program Manager, located in San Antonio, Texas.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and driving an integrated Culture and Engagement strategy that inspires current and prospective employees in alignment with the Company’s values, vision and business strategies and key objectives. This includes employee satisfaction and retention, productivity, Quality, Safety, and FOD control among others.  The role partners closely with the Boeing San Antonio Executive Leadership Team to shape, drive and deliver measurable improvements in culture, engagement and integration and the opportunity to build relationships within the Global Technical Operations organization and within our communities - by partnering with Business Leaders, Hiring Managers, Human Resources, external community partnerships, military veteran transition organizations, local universities and technical schools to attract top talent to Boeing and build our GTO talent pipeline.

Engages with Global Technical Operations (GTO) and Human Resources in workforce stability strategy and execution efforts.  By partnering with supporting staffing teams to drive visibility and staffing actions including growth forecasting, requisition activity and internal movement and with Talent Acquisition to identify and support external events to support hiring needs (Military, College, ETA, SkillBridge, etc.) as well as building a robust future talent pipeline as well as with Boeing Global Engagement and Government Operations in the coordination and management of external relationships and programs across our various sites/locations. 

The manager will also continually focus on first level manager efficiency and first time quality in hiring task execution by consolidating disparate activities and collaborating with Process Councils and/or Hiring Teams as applicable.

Position responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and assessment of strategies and programs for continuous engagement through effective action planning processes with HR Business Partners and Labor Relations, to improve the quality of the employee experience, retention and performance consistent with our values and priorities.

  • Build strong cross-functional networks in a highly matrixed organization and leveraging sound business judgement, hands on approach and agility to drive change management, communications and leadership of Culture, Engagement, and Integration initiatives in a fast paced and at times ambiguous environment.

  • Provide counsel, guidance and tools to managers and senior leadership as to best practices for communicating with employees to elevate productivity, performance and pride.

  • In partnership with Labor Relations, deploy the internal engagement and feedback mechanisms to source the sentiments of our employees to help the organization continually improve.

  • Partner with Human Resources and Labor Relations to track and analyze new hire/exit surveys, employee communications, engagement activities, concerns and work with internal stakeholders and leaders to deploy actionable solutions.

  • Bring to life a consistent Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and vision for the San Antonio employee experience, in partnership with HR and site leadership.

  • Strategize and tactically utilize critical thinking, consultative, analytical and communication skills to establish credibility with employees across the site.

  • Lead the planning and implementation of employee surveys, along with action planning and goal setting with various stakeholders across the organization to ensure that leadership has access to insights that drive positive change.

  • Ongoing tracking and monitoring of performance indices that measure the evolution of the site’s culture and develop and implement action plans that ensure culture and engagement objectives and results are met.

  • In partnership with Corporate Communications, help lead the development of internal communications that bring strategic alignment and efficiency to employee engagement efforts, including the development of tools, communication channels and content that propagate our values and priorities throughout the site.

  • Drive the development and implementation of employee recognition initiatives that are valued across the organization at all levels and ongoing ownership.

  • Foster a culture of employee engagement and leadership by creating opportunities for recurring employee feedback, recognition, and development.

  • Actively participate in the onboarding process, with HR, and serving as the employee engagement lens to foster innovation to onboarding for consistency and an enriched employee experience

  • Lead ad-hoc projects that further enhance the employee engagement experience.

  • Developing and operationalizing a centralized operating rhythm and status reporting mechanism to understand GTO staffing profile, status and projection of future needs

  • Facilitating monthly Workforce Planning meetings in collaboration with staffing teams

  • Researches, develops and partners with internal connections to strengthen talent sourcing/acquisition methodologies  

  • Researches industry techniques and methodologies to keep us competitive in attracting targeted candidates for future requirements

  • Partners with communications focals to leverage all social media platforms creating effective social strategies to attract eligible candidates

  • Assist as required in recruitment activities such as supporting and representing GTO at external events, screening candidates and/or interviews

  • Oversee Operations Leaders in the development, improvement and coordination with local community college pipeline programs

  • Proactively partners with community stakeholders and Government Operations to exploit opportunities for promoting and creating talent development pathways

  • Requires close coordination with multiple stakeholders including Business Leaders, Hiring Managers, Human Resources, Global Staffing, Total Rewards, Recruiting, Compensation, and others   

  • Possesses excellent communication skills and ability to work within complex functional hierarchy to drive improved communication and partnering with hiring organizations and applicants and recruiting across multiple disciplines, internally and externally

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): 

  • 3+ years of experience executing strategies and/or managing projects that promote a culture of superior customer service and exceptional employee engagement

  • 3+ years’ experience in Project management (scope, schedule, risk, communication, coordination, execution, and control)

  • 5+ years of experience building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives

  • 3+ years of experience in event planning (i.e. scheduling conference rooms, working with caterers and coordinating and corresponding with internal and external customers)

  • 5+ years management experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a position that required conceptual and creative skills to find novel solutions to complex problems

  • 3+ years of experience developing and deploying organizational plans and strategies

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or University.​

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or University.​

Summary Pay Range: $141,100 - $190,900
