ABOUT THE ROLE

As a member of the Global Oral Care CTI team, key responsibilities will be:

  • Delivering CTI, Flavor and Claims support for Global brands Pepsodent and Close Up across Renovation and innovation projects as well as helping to develop new communication and strategic plans. 

  • Developing consumer understanding, evaluating flavor product and profiling them, substantiation and claims support strategies for projects as well as delivering consumer research plans.  

  • Should have a broad category technical understanding of formulation, consumers and consumer / sensory testing methodologies used to assess product performance. 

  • Interpersonal and communication skills as well as project and time management. 

  • Furthermore, creative mindset with ability to translate complex product information into simple consumer stories.

Background and Purpose of the Job:

To support Consumer Technical Insights and Claims work stream for the Global Oral Care business by delivering outstanding communications for our innovation that are robustly supported in technical and consumer understanding.   To also develop and execute Strategic Understanding plans by interacting in a multi-disciplinary business environment, providing a critical link between the regional / global R&D, legal, and brand teams.

Compelling Expectation

  • Drive the desire to look for consumer insight, consumer appealing claims for the category, regional and project level through brainstorming/workshops.

  • Champion consumer-centricity by translating product properties, sensory experience, and performance into meaningful consumer benefits and emotional triggers.

  • Capture and interpret consumer research data, sensory feedback, and claim substantiation evidence into robust dossiers.

  • Ensure consumer language alignment in all package copy, advertising briefs, and marketing materials.

  • Anticipate and mitigate consumer perception risks, regulatory challenges, and competitive threats.

  • Build strong networks with Brand, CMI, Clinical, S&T, Flavour Houses, and R&D teams to embed consumer and flavour insights into innovation.

Critical Functional Capabilities

  • Execute claim support testing plans and flavour sensory studies.

  • Practice and leverage new scientific and sensory protocols for flavour evaluation and consumer preference mapping.

  • Interface with R&D functions (Formulation, Regulatory, Discovery) to translate technology and flavour innovation into consumer-relevant claims.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Biology, Sensory Science, and Consumer Behaviour; experience in claims and flavour development for personal care products is an advantage.

  • Digital savviness and ability to leverage consumer data analytics for insights.

  • Working knowledge of microbiology protocols and flavour chemistry.

  • Expertise in consumer research methods, sensory evaluation techniques, and cultural taste mapping.

  • Competence in statistical tools, complex data analysis, and sensory data interpretation.

  • Experience in global projects and working across diverse consumer cultures.

  • Excellent spoken English, presentation skills, and ability to collaborate with remote stakeholders worldwide.
