Job Requirements:
· RT (R),(CT), (ARRT), and BLS certifications, and state licensure where necessary.
· Must have the ability to function as both a CT Technologist and X-Ray Technologist - performing examinations of patients of all ages
· Roshal’s CT/X-ray Technologists are responsible for coordinating and completing daily procedures, including prioritizing the sequence of operations, completing the exam, and following through with all the necessary paperwork with minimal supervision, requiring independent judgment.
· Demonstrates competency in PACS process and performs daily QA process.
· Effective communication skills and excellent patient care skills required.
· Functions proficiently with all technical equipment in diagnostic modality.
· Properly uses radiation protection and shielding material to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines.
· Must be up to date on all vaccinations as required for hospital employment and pass any needed health screenings, including drug screening and background check.
Job Responsibilities:
· CT examinations and procedures that require the use of contrast agents.
· Managing patients during complex procedure exams.
· Use of portable X-Ray machine and other X-Ray equipment.
· Solve minor equipment problems for both X-Ray and CT.
· Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.
· Scan in and label documents appropriately and ensure images are released to radiologists promptly.
· Follow all radiation protection and dose reporting policies and processes.
· Assist other technologists when necessary to maintain productivity.
· Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast, if applicable.
Physical Effort:
·Must be capable of lifting 50-100 lbs, including patient lifting, positioning aids, portable ultrasound machines, and assisting with minor patient movements. Requires physical flexibility to bend, reach, twist, and adjust equipment or patients as needed.
·Requires prolonged standing or walking while performing scans, moving between patients, and positioning equipment. Physical endurance is essential to complete multiple consecutive scans.
