At Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, CT Scan Technologists are more than imaging specialists - they are patient advocates, clinical problem-solvers, and vital members of our diagnostic care team. Your work supports safe, accurate, and timely imaging for inpatients, outpatients, and Emergency Department patients in a nationally respected healthcare environment.
What You’ll Do
- Perform CT procedures following established protocols and imaging standards
- Complete computerized image reconstruction and post-processing
- Obtain and document patient history and clinical information
- Start IVs, administer contrast, and continuously monitor patient condition
- Charge exams and prepare images for radiologist interpretation
- Coordinate patient scheduling for efficient department workflow
- Perform daily QA tests; maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Identify equipment issues and communicate with GE service and leadership
- Maintain supply inventory and assist with emergency response when needed
- Address minor patient concerns; escalate complex issues appropriately

What You Bring
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- 12–24 months of radiology experience preferred; new grads welcome
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT procedures
- ARRT (RT), IDNS License, & CPR certification
- IV certification within 3 months; CT registry within 1 year
- Strong communication skills and computer competency
- Completion of 2 hours of stroke education annually

Physical Requirements
Active clinical role requiring lifting/moving up to 35 lbs. unassisted (equipment required for heavier lifting), responding to urgent requests, and working in conditions with infectious exposure. Rotating shifts, alternate days, overtime, and call may be required.
