CT Senior Transaction Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

This role will provide highly complex support to an assigned group of the largest trustee clients with the most complex needs

  • Negotiate and close transactions for which UMB Bank is being appointed as trustee, administrative agent, escrow agent and similar Corporate Trust capacities
  • Work with corporate trust legal, compliance and outside legal counsel to negotiate document provisions
  • Review legal documents to ensure operational mechanics and UMB Bank protections are appropriate
  • Responsible for accurate/timely setup of issues on all systems, preparing accounts for compliance review and responding appropriately to compliance exceptions
  • Recommend and submit new business for approval from the new business committee made up of the senior leadership team in Corporate Trust
  • Provide guidance to junior staff
  • Operate independently to service the largest clients and resolve the most complex issues
  • Participate in cross-training to learn other Corporate Trust roles and provide support, as needed
  • Develop and lead training related to Corporate Trust products and services, as requested
  • Actively participate as a subject matter expert for ongoing projects and system testing. 
  • Be involved in leading the development and implementation of more efficient processes.
  • Participate in cross-training to learn other Corporate Trust roles and provide support, as needed
  • Work with management to explore marketing opportunities and new products and services to offer in CT.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

MINIMUM:

  • Demonstrates strong document review and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrates ability to provide positive client experience through a variety of methods including associate engagement, technology, workflows and processing
  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Demonstrates the ability to drive change through business planning
  • Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrates general knowledge of banking products and services
  • Demonstrates the ability to be self-directed

Requirements

MINIMUM:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years relevant experience

PREFERRED:

  • Master's Degree
  • Certified Corporate Trust Specialist (CCTS) or Corporate Trust Master Certification (CTMC)

Compensation Range:

$83,810.00 - $179,300.00
