The Collateral Real Estate Valuation team NL (CREV NL) in CRM NL is responsible for the valuation of the Banking Book collateral of Real Estate, Floating Assets and Fixed Assets booked in the Netherlands. This relates to the (CRR eligible) establishment, process requirements/controls and haircut determination of these collateral types

Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expert for the translation of Regulatory requirements related to the various collateral types (floating assets, other fixed assets) into practical requirements for process development in collateral systems related to the Global Banking Book collateral. Supporting the implementation into the Global Collateral Management Guide.

  • Translate changes in the legal envirionment related to the respective collateral types into practical process steps of  the local NL CREV collateral process guide

  • Participation in Group CRM Collateral Management Projects as Subject Matter Expert on the respective collateral types, both on data quality as well on process optimization  

  • Independently determining of collateral haircuts for designated collateral types (depending on hurdles set for central decisioning making), taking into account market data/trends for our local NL collateral book

  • Includes ESG aspects in the assessment of collateral valuations

  • Liases with the 1st LoD collateral valuations team on individual Collateral ID’s to decide on collateral haircuts. Escalate where relevant. Participates in 6-eyes decision making, according to our processes

Skills:

  • Academic level in thinking and handling, analytical skills

  • Experience of Credit and/or Collateral processes and Policies

  • Relevant CRR Regulatory knowledge related to the respective collateral types

  • Experience in Project management (member, project lead), both at local as well as at Group level

  • Familiarity with tools such as Excel, Access, Word PowerPoint

  • Fluent French and English knowledge and experience

  • Independently working individual, but also team player

  • Experienced in working in international teams

  • Perseverance skills, drive and flexibility

  • Independent judgement on subject matter expertise

  • >5 years years of professional banking experience
