Role Summary
Senior Consultants – Offshore are responsible for the end‑to‑end technical implementation of the Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS). This role requires strong domain and product expertise combined with hands‑on technical skills to translate client business requirements into scalable, production‑ready solutions.
Senior Consultants should design, configure, develop, and integrate CRIMS components while ensuring solution quality, system stability, and operational readiness. The role involves close collaboration with clients, project managers, architects, and global delivery teams to ensure successful implementation and client ownership post go‑live.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking experienced implementation professionals with a strong background in investment management systems and financial technology delivery. The ideal candidate brings at least 8 years of relevant industry experience, gained within a consulting firm or financial software provider, and has successfully delivered complex Front, Middle, or Back Office implementations.
Candidates with proven experience in Capital Markets technology projects, strong technical depth, and a track record of client‑facing delivery will thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant – Offshore, you will:
Lead and contribute to CRIMS technical implementations across Front, Middle, and Back Office workflows
Analyze, validate, and translate business and technical requirements into effective CRIMS solutions
Design, configure, and develop application components aligned with functional and non‑functional requirements
Perform end‑to‑end system testing, including integration and regression testing across workflows
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across application, data, and integration layers
Ensure solutions are stable, scalable, and production ready, meeting CRD engineering and client standards
Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to support go‑live readiness and transition to client ownership
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members as required
Contribute to delivery excellence by adhering to CRD SDLC, documentation, and quality practices
What We Value
Senior Consultants (Offshore) are expected to demonstrate:
Strong experience delivering Front, Middle, or Back Office Investment Management system implementations
Proven execution skills with the ability to manage priorities, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations
Deep capital markets domain knowledge, including:
Equity and Fixed Income instruments
Investment and/or Wealth Management workflows
Derivatives and Foreign Exchange (FX)
Technical Skills & Experience
Hands‑on technical expertise is essential, including:
Programming & Development
C#
Core Java
SQL Server (advanced querying, performance tuning)
Data & Reporting
ETL tools such as Pentaho Kettle or Talend
SSRS report development
Data processing and reconciliation workflows
Cloud & Platforms
Strong experience with Azure and/or AWS
Snowflake experience is a strong plus
Integration & Market Data
Industry standards and interfaces such as FIX, SWIFT
Market data and reference data integrations (e.g., Bloomberg, MSCI)
Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
Strong academic foundation in:
Software development and object‑oriented programming
Data structures and databases
Financial systems and distributed architecture
Exposure to cloud computing, data integration, and enterprise systems is highly valued
Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus, including:
Azure / AWS Cloud Certifications
Relevant technical or financial certifications
CFA
Experience Requirements
Minimum 12+ years of relevant professional experience delivering financial technology solutions
Demonstrated hands‑on experience in:
Application development and configuration
System integration and data processing
Reporting and analytics
Cloud‑based implementations within investment or capital markets environments
