Credits & Collections Analyst

Function:   

Responsible for assessing the credit risk and viability of a potential and existing client as well as establishing their current credit limit. Analyzes customer financial statements pertaining to a credit line application and provide financial guidance for order management support with supply chains and marketing units to control credit use while minimizing dispute and upholding effective payment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To have a thorough understanding of the PUMA ENERGY Work Management Process (WMP) and to actively promote adherence to the requirements of the WMP. The Regional Maintenance Managers are the Work Management Process “owner”.
  • Reporting on maintenance performance in accordance with the Work Management Process and as required by the Asset Services Manager on an ad hoc basis.
  • Ensuring that PM compliance inspections are conducted on at least 10% of all closed Work Orders.
  • Ensuring that maintenance department physical assets are appropriately managed and maintained. This includes but is not limited to technical library, tools, test/safety equipment, workshops and vehicles.
  • Providing direction to stores personnel ensuring appropriate stocking of parts and materials.
  • Ensuring compliance with PUMA ENERGY HSSEQ requirements and other company policies.
  • Ensuring the ongoing development of Associated Parts List, Standard Task Instructions and Standard Repair Kits.
  • Developing Service Level Agreements in conjunction with other managers.
  • Developing, for approval, annual maintenance budgets and managing expenditure in accordance with PUMA ENERGY financial guidelines.
  • Authorization of annual leave, sourcing and authorization of training and the performance reviews.

Requirements:

  Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Field
  • Minimum of 10 years in a senior maintenance role
  • Extensive leadership experience in a service sector with the ability to apply situational leadership
  • Experience in contract management
  • Experience in developing and managing maintenance budgets
  • Experience in managing minor to medium sized projects

Skills:   

  • Strategic thinking, ability to interpret situations and design or modify process to achieve business goals.
  • Organized, methodical and responsible work habits and an ability to meet deadlines
  • Good IT skills - MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Current PNG Driver’s Licence with an accident free recent driving record.

Competencies:  

  • Good understanding of petrochemical and/or mechanical plant and equipment
  • Understanding of petrochemical and/or electrical plant and equipment
  • Good understanding of maintenance and its management particularly those aspects pertaining to work management
  • Good understanding of maintenance strategy (PM) development methodologies in particular Predictive Maintenance (Condition Monitoring) strategies
  • Good understanding of Root Cause Analysis methodologies
  • Good understanding of the concepts of Reliability, Availability and Maintainability and the impact that maintenance has on these asset characteristics
  • Understanding of Life Cycle Costing.
