GNB is an integral part of the Underwriting (UW) team. The UW mandate is to deliver best-in-class credit risk analysis, monitoring and credit administration as a partner to Corporate Risk and Banking’s shared commitment to ensuring the safety and soundness of wholesale lending across Corporate Banking.
GNB Analysts are responsible for a portfolio of Global Network Banking, owning the Credit Risk Analysis for those relationships, and being responsible for the continuous monitoring of that portfolio. That includes the production of Annual Reviews, Quarterly Reviews, and the support to Ad-Hoc Transactions and Portfolio & Industry Reviews and Stress Testing.
The Analyst is expected to have a basic understanding of credit risk, leveraging off an academic background Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. They should need close supervision from their respective Team Leads but take each interaction opportunity to further learn about credit risk, industry fundamentals, effective writing and communication.
