The Opportunity

As a dedicated Credit Risk Analytics Manager, you will conduct quantitative credit/behavioral/financial analytics or predictive modeling to assess risks and opportunities and provides recommendations for bank consumer portfolios.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX or Plano, TX.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Apply analytical skills to assess risks and opportunities for a bank consumer portfolio and translates results into recommendations.

  • Effectively develop analytical concepts in support of key stakeholders to deliver on bank risk strategies.

  • Conduct quantitative analysis utilizing extensive internal and external data sources.

  • Develop qualitative analysis to support departmental decision making.

  • Research credit, product, and/or risk proposals and utilize critical thinking skills to provide analysis ensuring strong portfolio performance outcomes.

  • Build and/or maintain effective risk management frameworks which can identify, measure, or mitigate risk.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive risk reporting in support of management and committee oversight of existing and emerging risks.

  • May develop and/or execute financial risk sensitivity analysis.

  • May execute credit and/or financial modeling infrastructure. ​

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree: OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an analytical field or  focused on risk management execution, analytics or risk assessments; OR an advanced degree in a quantitative, scientific, engineering, business or technical field; OR an equivalent level of demonstrated competencies in leading risk management execution, analytics and risk assessments. 

  • Experience communicating analytical insights to various stakeholders.

  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills with various data to problem solve effectively.

  • Basic understanding of data, code, or reporting tools. ​

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with SQL and programming languages such as Python, SAS, or R is essential.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $77,120.00 - $147,390.00.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

 

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
