Overview
This senior leadership role will report to the Head of Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC) Production & Reliability Engineering. You will lead the Global Credit Production Engineering across FIC Technology, a globally distributed team, supporting the delivery of the strategic vision, while maintaining day-to-day accountability for day-to-day production stability. Seniority and influence will be critical in engaging executive stakeholders, setting standards, and guiding a global team efficiently.

What You’ll Do
Drive global production stability across the Credit business, aligning engineering priorities with business objectives, regulatory expectations, and platform resilience goals
Embed modern Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and lead the transformation from reactive support to a proactive, data‑driven, automation‑first engineering discipline
Enhance platform robustness by challenging and reviewing architectures, contributing to tooling strategy, and role‑modelling excellence in incident response, post‑incident analysis, and risk reduction
How You’ll Lead
Act as a senior partner to the Head of Credit Trading, Credit desk leads, technology executives, and adjacent business stakeholders, ensuring transparency, aligned priorities, and shared accountability for platform performance and health
Develop, mentor, and scale a high‑performing global SRE‑aligned team, fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, curiosity, and continuous improvement
Skills You’ll Need
Expertise in incident management, post‑mortem and problem‑management culture, change governance, and operating within regulated financial environments
Advanced technical proficiency in Linux/Unix systems, Structured Query Language, and programming in C++, Java, Python, or equivalent scripting languages; strong understanding of distributed systems, low‑latency architectures, APIs and event driven architecture
Hands‑on experience with observability and telemetry platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Geneos, OpenTelemetry) and infrastructure automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines)
Familiarity with hybrid cloud, containerization, Kubernetes, Docker, and modern deployment methodologies
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Leadership experience managing SRE or Production Engineering functions in complex, high‑availability, real‑time environments, ideally within capital markets
Experience working in a Trading environment and knowledge of pricing, trade capture, market‑data flows, and fixed income products; exposure to Foreign Exchange or algorithmic and electronic trading in large scale environments is advantageous
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $170,000 to $308,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
