Integral to this service are our Credit Application Clerks. With their attention to detail and service mindset, they create a seamless and supportive experience for customers who trade on account. To strengthen our Finance team at our Durban-based HQ, we’re seeking a methodical, customer-focused Credit Application Clerk to support our efficient and accurate account management.

By keeping information up to date, resolving queries efficiently and maintaining solid relationships with customers, you’ll help businesses access the workwear their teams rely on, while providing the service excellence Jonsson Workwear is renowned for.

The highly organised and proactive individual best suited to this role will:

  • Carefully review and process credit applications, ensuring all required documents are complete, accurate and compliant to prevent delays.
  • Complete vendor forms as required, ensuring every submission meets the necessary standards and timelines.
  • Conduct thorough trade reference checks, verifying that all information is complete, correct and reliable.
  • Request site visit documentation from store teams for high-value credit applications.
  • Leverage your analytical thinking to interpret Credit Bureau Reports and guide account decisions.
  • Open new accounts, ensuring customer data is captured correctly and accounts are activated without errors.
  • Confidently communicate with relevant teams to provide clear, timely updates on the progress of customer credit applications.
  • Maintain accurate, well-organised records of all credit applications, customer information and supporting documents.
  • Consistently prepare and send weekly schedules of incomplete and rejected applications to all stores, to keep teams informed and aligned.
