This role is based in Roche Services Americas, one of our worldwide Shared Services Centers providing Finance and Procurement services to various countries in the Americas region. You will be based in San José, Costa Rica, and report to the Treasury & Accounts Receivable Manager.
The Opportunity:
As an Credit Analyst - Accounts Receivable, your main focus will be executing AR operational activities for the Americas SSC. You will be responsible for ensuring all financial tasks are performed with high integrity and in compliance with Roche guidelines. Your responsibilities include:
Operational Execution: Execute day-to-day activities according to agreed service levels and in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Credit Analysis & Risk: Coordinate and perform stringent Customer Credit Analysis, maintaining accurate customer credit master data to mitigate financial risk and ensure sound credit decisions.
Financial Accounting: Perform timely financial tasks including bank account reconciliation, customer direct debit payments, cash application, and the clearing of AR and bank suspense accounts.
Transaction Management: Responsible for the accurate posting and reconciling of AR transactions and the resolution of manual corrections.
Communication & Service: Handle incoming calls and emails in a timely and professional manner, providing a consultative approach to internal and external clients.
Process Improvement: Propose process and system enhancements to continuously improve the performance and efficiency of the Shared Service Center.
Collaboration: Proactively seek opportunities for effective cooperation between teams regardless of country or functional assignments, fostering a supportive team environment.
Who you are:
You hold a University or College degree with a concentration in Finance or Accounting.
You bring 3–5 years of finance and accounting experience with a solid understanding of accounting processes.
You are characterized by a high level of social competence and have strong communication skills in Spanish and intermediate level fluency in English and Portuguese.
You have a strong ability to prioritize and organize work effectively to meet tight deadlines with limited direction.
You possess strong analytical skills and the ability to perform work with a focus on detail and high integrity.
You are familiar with Finance Shared Services technology systems (e.g., SAP, BlackLine).
Preferred:
Demonstrated experience in a matrixed organization or a Shared Services environment.
Strong communication and relationship management skills with a "solutions-oriented" mindset.
