As today's Intel processor technology progresses with higher complexities and faster delivery times to the market, the System Validation (SV) team is tasked to meet these new technological challenges by ensuring all CPU designs meet or exceed the quality goals in the most efficient way possible. As a CPU Validation Engineer, you will be part of the CPU post-silicon team performing system validation on many of Intel's next generation processor designs in close partnership with the architecture group and project design teams.
Responsibilities:
Validate and verify the logic and new architectural features of next generation designs. This encompasses:
Knowing intimately the architecture/designs of specific functional blocks of a processor feature to develop test plans.
Develop new test content and/or test tools.
Practice the software development process and test/QA process to ensure software of the highest quality.
Drive software performance and efficiency improvement.
Ensure effectiveness and coverage of tests developed in the qualification of new designs.
Identify silicon bugs and debug (individually or as a team) to root cause and fix.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
0-1+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 0 years with a Master's degree.
Proficiency in Python and scripting languages.
Strong knowledge of CPU architecture fundamentals, validation, and debug processes.
Experience with post-silicon validation tools and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in system-level or post-silicon validation, test development, or silicon design.
Familiarity with CPU features, embedded systems, or platform debug tools.
Proficiency in C/C++/C# programming, Python, or other scripting languages.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
