We are looking for an experienced and dynamic CPU Performance Verification Engineer to lead our performance verification team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance verification processes for our CPU designs, ensuring that they meet or exceed performance targets and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CPU design verification, performance analysis methodologies, and team leadership.
Role and Responsibilities
You will be part of All Cores Engineering Group (ACE-India) at Intel, Core IP development team is driving Intel's latest CPU's in the World's leading process technologies.
- Develop and implement robust performance verification strategies, methodologies, and tools for evaluating CPU performance.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, and product teams to define performance verification specifications and requirements.
- Create and oversee the execution of comprehensive verification plans and performance test suites to validate CPU functionality and performance metrics
- Engage and participate in performance impacting features from requirements stage to RTL signoff for performance signoff.
- Utilize performance modeling, simulation, and benchmarking techniques to analyze CPU performance characteristics.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with design and modelling teams to propose and validate optimization strategies.
- Analyze verification results and prepare reports to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in performance verification processes, implementing automation where feasible.
- Mentor and coach team members on best practices for performance verification and analysis.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in CPU performance verification.
Qualifications:
- You must possess a Master’s Degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering with at least 5 or more years of experience in related field or a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of experience.
- Experience with CPU architecture and working cross-functionally with hardware and software teams for bring-up, validation, and debug of silicon.
- Familiarity with using prototyping platforms like Emulators or FPGAs.
- Familiarity with power and/or performance measurement of ASICs.
- Solid understanding of system and processor architecture, and the interaction of computer hardware with software.
- Set aggressive goals and meet/beat the commitments. Flexible enough to work in a dynamic environment and multitask seamlessly. Display ability to network and influence locally as well as across geographies.
- Candidate should demonstrate excellent Self-motivation, communication, strong problem solving and teamwork skills.
